  • Amman-20 March, 2007- The United Nations Family celebrated International Women’s Day in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal who was honoured on the occasion of her tenth year as UNIFEM’s Goodwill Ambassador.

  • Mr. Luc Stevens has recently arrived in Jordan to assume his duties as the new UN Resident Coordinator. Mr. Stevens is of Belgian origin with a Master’s Degree in Criminology from the Belgian State University. He has twenty years of experience mainly in emergencies and humanitarian development issues, as he worked in UNHCR offices in the Sudan, Iran, Geneva, Tanzania with his last position as Manager of the UNHCR Regional Support Hub in Ghana prior to his appointment in Jordan.

    All the best to Mr. Stevens on his new assignment.
